SECTOR COMMENTARY

The energy sector ended a quiet day of trading mostly lower, trailing the broader equity markets in thin choppy trading. Investors moved to the sidelines on a lack of market moving announcements today and after major benchmarks last week stitched together their biggest weekly gains in more than a year.

WTI crude oil futures erased earlier lows and ended the day higher by $0.10 or 0.11% at $93.19, slightly underperforming Brent which saw an over 0.2% jump on the day. Both benchmarks extended gains from last week as ...
