SECTOR COMMENTARY
Energy stocks finished the day mostly higher led by services and drillers with integrateds following closely behind on the backs of heavy gains in ConocoPhillips, Chevron and InterOil Corp, with the latter reaching a new high. E&Ps closed higher on strength in oily names and as Pioneer Natural Resources finished the day with a 6% gain after the company raised its FY12 production guidance.
